One of the items presented in the case against him was the iron and graphic images of the injuries she suffered were presented in court – although he claimed that Baffoun “brushed against the iron” while using it.

Prosecutor Davide Ercolani explained to the Rimini court in Italy how Hussein, who was the manager of a foreign business company called Fortitude Capital, was arrested after the police were called to Baffoun’s house.

Hussain, a married father of two who owns luxury homes in Knightsbridge and Milan, was caught after driving to Rimini in a UK-registered gold-coloured Lamborghini. The court heard how witnesses described how he was shouting and threatening to release a sex tape of the couple before they tried to set the car on fire in January 2020.

Baffoun repeatedly abused Hussein, followed her after she tried to escape

Ercolani explained how Baffoun, who is of Tunisian origin but an Italian citizen, was a victim of repeated domestic violence and was hospitalized twice with injuries. She said he burned her with a hot iron as “punishment” in August 2019 and police were called to the Milan apartment they shared, after Hussein choked her and punched her in the face.

Ercolani told the court how “a simple household item turned into a deadly weapon” as he showed pictures of the victim’s face burned to the horror hearing. He also recounted how Hussain wrapped himself up when he threatened his girlfriend with a knife saying he would kill her and then ‘hire the best and most expensive lawyers’ to get her out.

Hussain also tried to run Baffoun out of his Knightsbridge home in December 2020 and she then decided to leave him and return to her home in Rimini to escape his abusive and controlling behaviour, the court heard. When he was arrested outside her home, the prosecutor said he shouted at the police: “Don’t scare me, you can’t do anything to me because I can buy anyone I want.”

Hussain claimed that he followed Baffoun after learning that she was only after his money

Hussain was not brought to trial and sentenced in absentia, and officials will now try to extradite him to Italy to serve his sentence. In a statement to the court, Baffoun said he was a high-class prostitute who he fell in love with and invited her to live with him at his Knightsbridge home after meeting her in London in 2018.

He said he paid her more than £150,000 for plastic surgery, including breast augmentation, lip work and dental implants, as well as jewelery and car money. However, he said the relationship soured in late 2019 and she fled back to Italy.

Speaking at an earlier hearing, he said: “It became clear to me very quickly that this woman was just looking for money – even though she told me she was no longer having sex with clients.”

“Shortly after we met, a £45,000 watch went missing and she admitted she took it from me,” Hussain said. “I will give her everything she wants but she is also jealous of my wife. I am allowed to have a wife and marry another woman, but she was not happy with it.

“They spent thousands to keep them from going back to prostitution but the relationship went bad,” he added. the opposite arm.

“I went to see her after we finally ended the relationship, I wanted to try to get my money back and also the Mercedes car I got.”

In addition to prison, Hussain was also sentenced to pay 60,000 Euros in compensation to Baffoun and her lawyer Umberto De Gregorio “With this sentence my client found some peace that she lost, justice was done and the judge believed what happened and this was not. as a result of her exaggeration or ambition.
